Collaborating on this fun, interactive cookbook was a creative joy. I worked on this project during the holidays, when my second daughter was a newborn. The art took on extra meaning for me as I reflected on my family’s holiday traditions, and imagined how this book might someday inspire holiday baking traditions in other people’s homes. I especially loved painting whimsical details like the scandinavian-inspired tree trimmings and nonpareil candies.
